Hilton Grand Vacations Timeshare Presentation in Orlando
Hilton Grand Vacations Orlando preview, Aug 2024: $223.88 for 3 nights plus 25,000 Honors points back, about $75 net, and the pushiest sales team I've met.
A Hilton Grand Vacations (HGV) timeshare presentation got me 3 nights at Hilton Grand Vacations Club Tuscany Village Orlando for $223.88 in August 2024, plus 25,000 Hilton Honors points (worth about $150) after the tour. That puts the effective cost at about $75, against a normal price of $557.72. The catch: it was the pushiest presentation I've been to, and that was partly my fault.
After my first presentation with Westgate Resorts, I went looking for more and found that Hilton publishes its preview offers right on its website. I've since done two with Capital Vacations too (Pigeon Forge and Silver Lake in Orlando); there's a side-by-side comparison at the bottom of this post.

The package and what it normally costs
Our package was a 4-day, 3-night stay at a Hilton area hotel or HGV Club resort, plus 25,000 Hilton Honors points after attending the presentation. We were booked at Tuscany Village, near Disney World, for August 15-18, 2024. The total was $223.88, paid up front, and no taxes or resort fees were due at check-in. The checkout folio showed a $0.00 balance.
For comparison, I priced the same Studio 1 King for comparable dates a year later (August 14-17, 2025) on Hilton's site: $557.72, including a $25 nightly resort charge and 12.5% tax.
The current HGV Orlando offer (September 2026)
As of September 2026, HGV's offers page lists 3 nights in Orlando for $249 plus 15,000 Hilton Honors points (awarded after the presentation), with up to 12 months to travel. That's $25 more and 10,000 fewer points than the deal I got in 2024, so the math is a little less generous now. Offers change often, so check before you book.
Who qualifies for an HGV preview (as of September 2026)
From HGV's Details of Participation (updated March 2, 2026):
- Income and credit: you must meet requirements for combined gross annual income and credit. HGV doesn't publish the numbers. If you're married or living together, at least one of you must meet the credit requirements.
- Couples: if married or living together, both must attend the presentation together.
- Bring: a current government-issued ID and a personal major credit card.
- How often: not eligible if you've attended an HGV sales presentation within the last year, or have another open package that requires one.
- Other exclusions: bankruptcy within the past 7 years, HGV and Hilton employees and their families, and groups of more than one household traveling together. One offer per household.
- Penalty: if you don't qualify or don't attend, your card is charged the full retail value of the vacation, plus taxes and the value of any gifts.
The room
The room was basic but clean, modern, and well-maintained, with a king bed, a mini fridge, and a microwave, which was perfect for quick meals. There's no full kitchen, but that wasn't an issue for a short stay. Tuscany Village also has a huge pool, where we spent several relaxing hours.
The tour and presentation
The required tour was on August 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM. It wasn't at Tuscany Village but at the Hilton Grand Vacations sales center at the Parc Soleil resort, about 1.5 miles away. We had to drive there, but it wasn't a major inconvenience.
Breakfast was very basic: beverages, packaged muffins, and a small selection of snacks. I grabbed about 10 snack bags of white cheddar Cheez-Its for later, but overall the offerings were underwhelming.
The presentation started on time and was initially pleasant. The pitch was persistent but not too high-pressure. Then we made two key mistakes:
- We acted too interested. That encouraged our salesman to push harder as we approached the end.
- We didn't act when our alarm went off. We'd set it for the promised two-hour mark, but instead of politely ending the pitch, we let the conversation drag on.
When we finally declined, our salesman became visibly irritated and stormed off to fetch his manager, the "closer." After we rejected the closer's offer, the "guy from corporate" appeared with a last-ditch pitch for a sampler package, a short-term timeshare trial for a few thousand dollars. We politely declined that too.
The gift and final cost
At the end of the tour we received our 25,000 Hilton Honors points, worth about $150 by my estimate, and no other gifts besides my stash of Cheez-Its. Factoring in the points, the effective cost of our stay was about $75, roughly 87% off the $557.72 normal price.
Tips for a smooth HGV presentation
- Stay firm but polite. Show minimal interest to avoid escalating pressure.
- Set an alarm and stick to it. Politely excuse yourself when your two hours are up.
- Expect multiple pitches. A closer and a corporate rep will each bring an alternative offer.
Despite the pushy ending, the experience was worthwhile. The savings were substantial, and Tuscany Village was a great place to relax in Orlando. If you're prepared to handle a timeshare pitch, an HGV preview can offer real value.
