Capital Vacations Timeshare Presentation – Silver Lake Resort Orlando
This Capital Vacations Timeshare preview meant a virtually free hotel stay. 3 nights for $4 per night is unbeatable! It's actually 97% off their normal rate.
If you are a cost sensitive traveler who does not mind sitting through a sales pitch in exchange for steeply discounted travel, this Capital Vacations timeshare preview was one of the better ones I have done so far.
I attended this presentation on Jan 17, 2026, tied to a Jan 15-18, 2026 stay at Silver Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, just minutes from Disneys Animal Kingdom. This was my second Capital Vacations preview. My other CV Preview was in Pigeon Forge in November 2024, which I wrote about here
Booking the Package
Capital Vacations allows you to do one preview every 12 months. I originally purchased this vacation package in December 2024 for $229, right after completing my first Capital Vacations presentation. When they called to book dates, I mentioned that I technically needed to wait a bit longer to stay within the 12 month rule. This was not an issue at all. They extended the expiration of my package by an additional 6 months, which was surprisingly flexible since most packages require travel within 12 months.
Then things got even better. The phone rep refunded $130 back to my credit card, bringing the effective cost of the package down to $99.
At actually booking the vacation in December 2025, I paid a $50 deposit which they said would be returned in the form of a gift card after completing the presentation.
Check In Costs and Promised Gifts
At hotel check in, I paid $113.61 in taxes and fees, plus a $150 incidental hold, which was refunded without issue after checkout.
The promised gifts included:
- $200 gift card
- $50 deposit returned as a gift card
- 5 day, 4 night cruise voucher
- 8 day, 7 night resort condo stay
The Presentation Experience
Our presentation was scheduled for 2:00 PM, which was the last session of the day. Upon arrival, they offered boxed lunches. The options were a turkey sandwich or a tuna wrap, plus chips, a cookie, water, and coffee. Nothing fancy, but perfectly fine.
The presentation itself was very standard:
- About 40 minutes of a slideshow with an energetic and entertaining host
- A walkthrough of a model unit
- Standard individual sales discussions with your rep
The overall pressure level was low. They were clearly trying to sell a timeshare, but saying no was not difficult. You just had to say no multiple times to multiple people, each with progressively cheaper offers.
We were contractually required to stay for 2 hours, but the full process took about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Once we declined everything, we were immediately released and given our gifts.
Interestingly, the cruise and resort stay vouchers were emailed to me about an hour into the presentation, before we were even finished.

Final Cost Breakdown
Here is how the math shook out:
- Original package after refund: $99
- Booking Deposit: $50
- Taxes and fees: $113.61
- Total out of pocket: $262.61
- Gift cards received: $250
That means we actually paid $12.61 for 3 nights, effectively paying $4.20 PER NIGHT at Silver Lake Resort.
Out of curiosity, the normal rack rate to book this same 1 bedroom condo with kitchenette would have been $392.50. That means we basically got this vacation for 97% off... dang.

Summary
Overall, this was a smooth and low stress experience. Silver Lake Resort was clean, well located, and perfectly fine for an Orlando stay. The sales pitch was manageable, the gifts were delivered as promised, and the math clearly worked in our favor.
I will write a follow up post once I fully investigate the cruise and resort vouchers, which are powered by Odenza. I have already used the Odenza VIP ticket program from a different timeshare preview, which you can read about here.
If you are disciplined, patient, and comfortable saying no, this Capital Vacations preview is absolutely worth considering.
